Aguila Elementary School celebrates two fourth grade students who earned recognition in the Arizona Department of Education’s Character Education Pennant Contest. Paulina Araujo created a pennant on the theme of respect, and Emmah Guillen created a pennant on the theme of caring. Mrs. Ventic guided both students throughout the process, and their work reflects the character and community values at the heart of Aguila’s school culture.
This achievement adds to a proud moment from November, when fourth grade student Elena Lopez received in-person recognition from Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne. Her artwork, “Always Be Respectful,” represented the core value of commitment and contributed to Aguila Elementary earning the CharacterCounts! Exemplary School award.
Congratulations to Paulina, Emmah, Elena, and Mrs. Ventic on this outstanding accomplishment!
