Aguila Transportation Department

Our Transportation Department is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of students. Our bus drivers follow all state regulations regarding school bus operation and traffic laws. You can rest easy knowing that your child’s safety is our top priority.

In general, students who live more than one mile from the school or who live north of US 60 are provided with bus transportation to and from school.

Bus Rules

We require all students riding the bus to obey the bus driver's directions at all times. All bus students are under the authority of the bus driver while being transported to and from school or school events.

It is the student's responsibility to:

  1. Be on time for the bus.
  2. Stand a safe distance from the curb, highway or edge of the road.
  3. Get in line when the bus approaches without pushing or crowding.
  4. Always use the steps and handrail when entering or leaving the bus.
  5. Sit quickly and quietly.
  6. Talk quietly—We prohibit loud or vulgar language.
  7. Do not extend hands, arms, or head through the bus windows.
  8. Do not throw objects.
  9. Do not open windows without permission of the driver.
  10. Do not eat, drink, or chew gum while on the bus.
  11. Do not damage the bus or personal property.
  12. Keep the bus clean and the aisles clear.
  13. Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
  14. Remember the six pillars of Character Counts.
